Our History

Learning Happens grew from an idea or rather a seed!

Our work together commenced when we ran our family owned Children’s Services centre.  As sisters, we discovered we could work successfully together with the experience assisting us to develop well rounded skills in negotiation, collaboration and patience. So from this beginning, our working partnership was formed.  

We have each worked in Children’s Services for almost two decades across a broad range of early childhood settings: family day care, out-of-school hours care, centre-based care and kinder through to prep transition. This has included work for community and private providers and training in both an accredited and a non-accredited capacity.

As Educators ourselves, we were often frustrated by attending professional development sessions and leaving feeling inspired, only to be dealt the reality of a new and often busy day. Listening to other Educators and their own frustration, it became evident that as passionate as they all were to implement these new innovative ideas, sometimes this became a struggle.

We felt it was time to offer more individualised, creative ways for Educators and teams of Educators to interpret new ideas into their own context and learning environment!
